EOS 500D is lots of fun.

Barcelona is the place to be.

Dredg live is well among my top 10 live bands ever seen…

Bachelor Thesis is finished. Manana.

Here is a little something I created with my EOS (you can also view in it HD):

http://www.thespacebetweenus.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/climb.pngTo my suprise, the weather turned out to be quite good. To my repentance, there hasn’t been that much progress on my bachelor thesis so far. (Things go hand in hand ;) )
I spent some great days in croatia, hanging out on some cliffs while practicing some deep water bouldering again. Italy was nice as well. Apart from travelling (just booked 2 planetickets to Barcelona), I have began to look around for a new D-SLR cam – without success. I’m still stuck in the middle of nowhere. Nikon D90? Canon 500D? Nikon D5000? Every model has its hiccups, and it looks like that reading through all these reviews and making a decision is too much for me to bear. Bah. Expect some intensive photo spamming once I have a SLR between my hands…

Last update: January 31st, 2009! Time passes too quickly, and once again I find myself being way too lazy to keep this “blog” updated. From now on, I’ll try to post at least once a month…time will tell if I can manage that.

So what is new? To keep it short:

I am currently working on my bachelor thesis, which deals with the molecular signaling pathway of rhodopsin. In other words, I’ll try to explain on the molecular level why we humans are able to see. It’s a great topic, and I think I’ll spend a lot of my time this summer on digging through various science journals and databases. And since the wheater seems to suck hard anyways…what else shall I do? Let’s see if I can finish my studies…

Just a few things I am up to: The Board of European Students of Technology has accepted me for a course on nanotechnologies applied to medicine. The whole thing will take place in Grenoble, France. While this is my fourth time in this country, I am sure this will be a great experience. And I don’t pay a cent. The organizers completely take care of me. Feels a little bit like paid holidays….oh well.

Second, I am sure you heard of the 400GB of videofootage Nine Inch Nails has released. I have downloaded it, and I’m really eager to edit and cut the whole stuff…but it just doesn’t work out. My PC turns out to be too weak to view 4 FULL HD videos at the same time. I’m still looking for an idea what to do now with all this amazing video! I’ll post my results as soon as I am able to get my hands on this project. In the meantime, check out Major Douche – he has news to share ;)

Peace & Love
